Free Responsible Technology Touring Program 2-2006

Free Responsible Technology Touring Program

So far this year the Siegel family have presented before over 2,000 students in mid Michigan, to help bring awareness to the importance of using technologies to provide environmental and humanitarian solutions. When John, Victoria, Autumn and Aurora present, they represent Education For Prosperity and their family business MRISAR Institute Of Science, Art & Robotics LLC, which researches and develops environmental and humanitarian technologies. The demonstrations have been supplied free of charge as an effort to share with and inspire others to learn and contribute to the welfare of humanity and the environment.

Among the subjects covered are environmental impacts in Haiti, alternative energy, low environmental impact technologies, adaptive technologies (to improve the quality of life for disabled individuals) and how important science, math and even art are to being able to take an idea and turn it into a working prototype.

Above: Autumn (age 14) and Aurora (age 11), demonstrate before 600 students about the importance robotics can have in saving peoples lives. Here they simulate removing unknown objects from a public location via a 5 fingered robot arm mounted to a wheeled platform and controlled by a panel. The robot has a camera on it that will allow for telepresence operations. This application can also be effective for removing toxic chemicals, searching for survivors in collapsed buildings, etc.

Students at Washington Elementary, in Owosso, MI. Top Autumn & Aurora Siegel demonstrate a probe robot.

Students participating in a group experiment with an exhibit (center) with creates sounds through electrical conduction, via a 6 volt battery.
