Professional Statement Personal Statement Victoria Lee Croasdell (or Siegel), born in Oceanside, California, is the Vice President and co-creator of MRISAR, Institute of Science, Art & Robotics. MRISAR, a world renowned and awarded family business, which is located in an old church, and operated entirely by 4 workers, two minors and two adults, has created a number of facial feature controlled robotic adaptive technology research projects, medical prototypes and a 45 page catalog of world class scientific exhibits and devices that educate the general public. Their exhibits, which are a spin-off of their technological developments, and are user friendly regardless of disability, have been chosen for NASA funded exhibitions, and by universities, centers, museums and royalty, worldwide. The profits from their exhibit sales fund their charitable efforts and research projects, which include alternative energy, adaptive technologies for the disabled, low cost medical solutions, and other humanitarian projects. Their efforts have also assisted a nonprofit humanitarian organization they founded. They have been awarded the “Discover Award for Technological Innovation” and a 2004 NASA - Emhart Technologies, "Create the Future" award. They are recognized by the UN as a substantial contributor in the area of robotics and featured in the United Nations "World Robotics 2002, 2003 and 2004" publications, by the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the IFR; International Federation of Robotics. Their primary goal is Humanitarian and Environmental research and development, which is based on their belief that each person should do everything within their capability to honor the spirit of humanity and the environment. In 1995 Vic co-founded and served as Vice President and Secretary for MOSAA, a 501 (C 3), non profit humanitarian and environmental organization. In 2004 MOSAA merged with a charitable project called "The Friends of Pichon", to create "Education For Prosperity, Inc.". She is the creator of this website and is the editor for the EFP newsletter. Vic is a correspondent student of the American Institute of Vedic Studies, to obtain a degree as an Ayurvedic Health Educator. She is a research student of Chinese medicine; alternative Western medicine; robotics-cybernetics (to provide technologies that will improve the quality of life for the disabled); and alternative energies. Vic is an accomplished multi disciplinary artist, poet and writer. Her creativity has produced international accreditation, as different aspects of her work have been published by, presented before, displayed at, and awarded by; universities, museums, galleries, journals, magazines, anthologies, newspapers, schools, libraries and publishing companies. She has been featured in numerous newspaper articles and on television segments. She is also a member of Kummullinen, which is an artistic team that includes Autumn Siegel and Aurora Siegel, together they create children's books, graphic novels and manga. She is also creating an evolving website with her daughter Autumn, which includes free information on comprehensive alternative healing and herbology methods. Artistic Expression: In the arts, she excels at original and influenced; Graphic Arts, Fine Arts and Design. Her chosen mediums include; Hand-Cut Serigraphs, Oil painting, Acrylic painting, Water Color, Colored Pencils, Ink, Marker, Metal Etching, Digital Art and Sculptures. Design range includes; original, ethnic, modern, ancient, cultural, fantasy, futuristic, mythical, children’s, etc. Poetic Expression: Vic is extremely versatile in both tradition and contemporary poetic forms. She often illustrates her poems, or writes poetry for her art. Written Expression: As a writer her ability encompasses a wide range of formats, from creative prose to academic research papers. Cybernetics and Robotics; published by and demonstrated before Cambridge University's international conference on adaptive technologies, "CWUAAT", (Cambridge Workshop on Universal Access and Assistive Technology) in March of 2002. Cybernetics and Robotics; published by and demonstrated before the "International Conference On Rehabilitation Robotics" at Stanford University, in California, in July 1999. Cybernetics and Robotics; chosen in 2000 by the International "Discover Awards For Innovation" to receive an Award for ranking in the top ten of their category. This also earned them an invitation to demonstrate their prototype at the "Technology Exp 2000" at EPCOT Center, in Disney World. Cybernetics and Robotics; featured in the "Who's Who in Science and Engineering; 8th Edition - 2005 - 2006", publication, by Marquis, LLC. Cybernetics and Robotics; recognized by the UN as a substantial contributor in the area of robotics and featured in the United Nations "World Robotics 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007" publication, by the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the IFR; International Federation of Robotics. Cybernetics and Robotics; Their work has been published by Universities and Scientific Journals. It has been acknowledged in numerous news papers and television segments.
